About Mayo Soremekun

I’m Mayomide Soremekun, an Engineering and Entrepreneurship BEng student, freelance web and app developer, and early-stage entrepreneur. My work sits at the intersection of technology, business, and real-world problem solving, with a focus on building practical digital products that are clean, scalable, and useful. Alongside my engineering studies, I work on websites, apps, marketplaces, and platform-based services using tools such as React, JavaScript, Python, Firebase, and automation. I’m particularly interested in creating systems that make everyday tasks easier, from digital marketplaces and music-tech platforms to property-management tools and family business websites. I also speak Spanish, Yoruba, and Japanese, which reflects my interest in connecting with different people, cultures, and ideas. Outside of my professional work, I have a strong interest in playing chess and skateboarding, both of which have shaped the way I think creatively, stay disciplined, and approach challenges. Beyond software, I also have experience with property management and business development, giving me a broader commercial perspective when building products. I enjoy turning ideas into reliable systems that solve real problems, create value, and are designed to grow over time.
